We hope you find answers to your questions below. Please get in touch if you have any further enquiries.
EVCT has been set up by volunteers to provide lifts for people who, through disability, are unable to use public transport.
Our community car scheme can take you to the hospital, GP, dentist, optician or hairdresser. We can also take you shopping or to visit your friends and family. Wherever you want to go, we will try to oblige.
Generally, we do not undertake journeys in the evening or at weekends or on Bank Holidays.
Our journeys are mainly in the local area and to Portsmouth and Chichester hospitals. Requests for journeys beyond these destinations will always be considered if a driver is available.
You must be resident in one of the villages local to Emsworth. Please click here for our catchment area.
Firstly, you need to register as an EVCT member. Please call 07481 179203 for more information. One of our Home Visitors will arrange to come and see you to explain how the scheme works and ask you to complete an application form.
To book a trip, telephone us on 07481 179203. Our office is manned on Mondays and Thursdays between 4.30pm and 5.30pm only. Messages can be left at any time. Please leave a clear message including your name and telephone number.
Please try to give us at least 72 hours’ notice of your planned trip. You may also book regular journeys in a single call.
Please note: We will always try to meet customer’s requests but sometimes we may be unable to do so because our volunteer drivers are not always available.
There is a one-off membership fee of £10. A minimum fare applies for each local journey up to 5 miles. For journeys over 5 miles, a mileage charge applies.
